A LOTM timeline story that postulates what would happen if every work of fiction ever made was part of one massive story spanning billions of years.

Chapter 1, Part 1 Of 2 - The Cycle Of Civilization
Cenozoic
c.66,000,000 BCE - c.145,000,000 CE
This era starts after the massive asteroid impact of the late cretaceous period, being characterized by the rapid evolution and diversification of mammals and birds around the world, but largely by the decline in global temperatures, creating extreme cold weather and triggering huge glacial periods. Most reptiles (besides crocodiles, some snakes, and the remaining dinosaurs) shrink down to their former pre-Jurassic sizes. As the newly evolved grasslands wipe out the dense forests our ancestors rely on for food and shelter, the earliest hominids are soon forced down from the branches of the trees and onto their feet.
Ice Age
c.115,000 - c.10,000 BCE
The cutting off of the warm oceanic current as a result of the linking between North and South America, combined with the freezing over of Antarctica, soon leads to a rapid cooling of the global climate. Around 125,000 BC, temperatures plunged down as glaciers began to roll over most of the land. In the early half of this period, a civilization of early humans begins to emerge across Earth, but ultimately fails to fully take root as it collapses by 75,000 BC, sending mankind back into his paleolithic years once again. As this era draws to a close, the last of the dinosaurs flee to an underground cave system as both the cold and overhunting from humans threaten their safety…

Man learns to domesticate animals and tame the soil. And, for the first time in his history, he settles down in villages and cities. However, war and other conflicts occur incessantly. Demons and other mystical beings also turn their attention towards humanity during this time. Under the reign of ancient Egyptian pharaohs such as Atem, some of the earliest large-scale structures to be built by man are the massive pyramids that mark the centers of towns and cities along the Nile river. About 200 years before Atem lived the famed hero Hercules and the flying winged horse known as Pegasus. Also thanks to the Greeks, we figure out how to measure our planets’ size down to within a mile. Settlement of Japan begins in the 600s BC when emperor Jimmu lands on its shores and establishes the island as his center of power. Another island, Sodor, is first settled in western Europe during the early middle ages. In the mid 19th century, railways spread across both it and mainland Europe, and strange special coal is used to give locomotives and other pieces of road and rail machinery a life of their own. The infamous Ciel Phantomhive and his butler also serve queen Victoria during this time. And in the 1890s, the terrifying vampire Count Dracula returns from the dead to haunt the streets of early London.

The Modern Era
c.1900 - 2077 CE; c.60 BSE - 121 SE
Industrialization and scientific thinking spread rapidly. Animals are frequently inconvenienced by humans as deforestation, fishing, and air pollution rates soar. For humans, however, this brings both upsides and downsides. While the first two world wars proved that the transition to global democracy and equal human rights was by no means a smooth one, other innovations change the pace of man’s evolution like never before. In a mere century, the invention of powered flight and automobiles allow global travel and trade to be made easier by orders of magnitude. Famous vehicles such as Herbie, Thomas The Tank Engine, and the Polar Express are all in use during the 1950s and 1960s. As the 21st century dawns, the internet and other digital forms of fast-paced communication take the world by storm, despite some unfortunate hiccups. But not long after space travel begins in earnest, a massive conflict between the world’s superpowers threatens to set human progress back by centuries….

The first shots of the third world war are fired. For 11 years, millions of innocent souls perish in the worst human-induced disaster to ever shake the Earth. The catastrophe ends with a ceasefire in 2088 as zombies overrun the cities of the world, following the deaths of probably well over 100 million people. It takes years, but starting in 2091, these creatures finally decline in number - around the same time as the events of the 1985 film Day Of The Dead take place. Wanting to set things right, the leading company of Earth soon devises an ambitious plan…………..
The Clean-Up
2105-2805 CE; c.150 - c.850 SE
In 2098, Buy n Large begins work on the Axiom, a massive space station housing tens of thousands (along with three other large ships, the Epiglottus, Zephyrus, and Mucius), as a temporary refuge outside Earth while millions of WALL•E units and huge mobile incinerators attempt to clean up the planet for those that remain behind. In 2105, most of the human population departs the planet headed for a long orbit around the sun in the Kuiper belt - a distant realm of icy rocks and dwarf planets - just beyond Neptune. Meanwhile on Earth, civilization takes many twists and turns over the next 700 years. In age-old Japan, Tokyo is overrun by gang leaders and dangerous bikers during the 2110s and 2120s. Of particular note is the accidental discovery of a crashed extraterrestrial spacecraft in 2122 - with a vicious predatory alien still alive inside!
The Mobile Suit Gundam series also takes place during this severn-century post-apocalypse era. In the early 2700s, however, the Earth begins to freeze over once again. When it finally thaws out in 2740, there are just a few cities left still being routinely inhabited by humans. With A.I technology the most common form of intelligence across Earth by 2750, the world becomes refurbished for the comfort of a multitude of sentient vehicles and aircraft. But by the mid 2780s, conflict over dwindling oil reserves leads the vehicles to war. In late November of 2790, the last car passes away in his sleep as winter rolls in. With Earth now but a barren, desert-like world knee deep in garbage and clouded with smog, it seems that all hope is lost…….at least for a while.

Earth Rises Again

In 2805, the descendants of humans who departed into space return at last. WALL-E and his EVE unit girlfriend live the rest of their years together and happy while humans work together to tidy up the planet. Within a few decades, trees and forests have returned to large sizes and most plastics and other waste products have almost completely eroded away. Animals are released back into the newly-born habitats and green energy sources explode in use, fueling a whole new era of civilization. Strange and awe-inspiring abilities appear in the 2860s to 2870s as a result of prior radiation, and the protection of rapidly growing cities by hero organizations and other crime-stopping services begins in earnest.
However, it was ultimately - once again - not to be………

After nearly 400 years of progress following WALL-E, life in space is blooming like never before. Planet Earth, on the other hand, is soon once again ravaged by the conflicts of humanity. While the war only drags on for a few months, the end of it is ironically the worst of all: A massive mushroom bomb explodes, destroying nearly half the crust of the world. Undoubtedly, the damage done from this event takes an enormous amount of time to recover. Efforts are made to preserve humanity in various secluded environments, while the outside world is influenced by strange energies and alien technologies, transforming the world into a place barely recognizable as the Earth we once knew…...

Following the events of renowned anime series One Piece, a new group of species known as the Minks depart their age-old homes - mountain-sized elephants. However, at this point in history, humans are highly suspicious of anything that tries to challenge them, and the presence of these intruders soon sets off a chain reaction of aggression.
Like World War IV, the fight is quite brutal. But eventually, the battle finally ends in 14,017 with the recognition of intelligent animals as their own race full of good intent and deserving of proper rights.
